About

A performer since 2012 and a coach since 2015, I am dedicated to long form improv.

My approach splits improv into two parts: The Scene & The Show. In this approach The Scene comes first, meaning scene quality is my initial and primary focus, which means scenework is highly prioritized over form. The Show is then created with some built-in flexibility to adapt to the varying performance opportunities available to indie teams while still working toward long term team goals. Across both Scene & Show I emphasize momentum, rhythm, and symmetry to create a satisfying and immersive experience for both performers and the audience.

I have experience coaching and performing a variety of forms including Armando, Genre Narrative, Monoscene, Movie, John Wick, Close Quarters, Spokane, La Ronde, Living Room, and Harold. I also have a particular affinity for and significant experience with coaching duos.

I am looking to continually challenge you as individuals and a team, which means no two rehearsals are the same. I also believe my job is not to direct you toward my vision, it's to help you reach yours. I know you'll do your best work if you're doing work you want to be doing. In rehearsals I encourage communication, feedback, and discussion in order to create an efficient learning environment and instill a feeling that you are responsible for your own growth.
